Youngdo came to faith during his university years. When God called him into ministry, he said "no". Eventually he said "yes" and loved it. After being a pastor in local churches, God called Youngdo into missions. In 2013 he started City Lights and has since been reaching the hip-hop community with the gospel. Although they are in our backyards, these rappers, breakdancers, deejays, graffiti writers and their fans are often misunderstood and an unreached people group. We run events and programs, go to other events, build relationships, give away Bibles, build disciples, share the gospel through words and actions, build leaders, and more. A hip-hop ministry hadn't been done before in Canada, but Youngdo is passionate and faithful to the work and God has been making the work fruitful.
