Nathan Kinsey

Nathan started following Jesus when he was a child because his parents introduced him. At the age of sixteen, he observed the combination of sports and faith and was drawn to full-time ministry. After high school he attended Bible college and had several experiences with parachurch organizations. He got married, started a family, and moved to Vancouver Island to pastor a small-membership church. During his tenure, he started volunteering as a community coach which eventually led to several ministry partnerships involving sports. Nathan and Amber still live on Vancouver Island. They have been married twenty-three years and have four children.

Nathan continues to be engaged in sports ministry and is joining SIM as part of the Sports Friends team in Canada. Sports Friends is a ministry of SIM that exists, by prayer and by faith, to see a global movement of churches using sports as a means to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
