After an eight-month internship in Niger Gail knew that God was leading her to do a literacy and discipleship ministry there. Over the last 15 years, she has been working with a local evangelist, doing a church planting ministry amongst one of the local people groups. Their vision is to plant four churches among this people group, using friendship evangelism, teaching literacy to adults and children, demonstrating good agricultural practices and discipling believers to become mature and strong in their faith. They have started this work in two locations and are working hard to strengthen the local believers there, encouraging them to join in sharing the gospel into other areas.
